Acquisition
Acquired by Pierre Lagacé in 1992, Cabano Marine has been well known in the Témiscouata region for several years under the management of Mr. Jacques Labrèque. Senior owner of a Ford dealership in Rivière-du-Loup, Mr. Lagacé was ready to take on a new challenge. In 1994, Cabano Marine quadrupled in size to provide more services, such as boat cover manufacturing and repairs, adding an indoor showroom and having a more spacious garage.
Cabano Marine expansions
In 1997, Martin and Robert, Mr. Lagacé's sons, joined the company, making it a family business. Their perseverance in the nautical field has allowed them, over the years, to acquire a larger market share and to participate in various showrooms in Quebec, which was great publicity for the company. In 2009, Martin Lagacé and Robert Lagacé took control of the family business. Several market opportunities were offered to them, which allowed the expansion of the company and the acquisition of Dubé and Frère in 2011. Through this acquisition, they gained a showroom of over 40 000 sq. ft., the largest in eastern Quebec. With more than 100 boats on display in the showroom, customers of Cabano Marine can shop all year around.
New branch in Tracadie
On top of our presence in Quebec, we also offer our services in New Brunswick. In 2014, Cabano Marine expanded to Tracadie, New Brunswick. Since then, this new Maritimes branch has been successful year after year due to a passionate and dedicated team. In 2019, Alexandre Godin joined Martin Lagacé to take the company lead. He brings a breeze of fresh air to the company and a wealth of knowledge on new trends and technologies of information and communication.

Acquisition of BLyacht
It’s in 2020 that Cabano Marine-Québec took a giant step forward in serving its customers from all angles. The acquisition of BLyacht on boulevard Champlain will allow the company to expand into the Quebec market, la Beauce, Saguenay Lac St-Jean, Côte-Nord and Mauricie by adding a new showroom with a capacity of 15 boats inside as well as a more spacious parts and accessories store. This investment also includes a new state-of-the-art mechanical workshop. 2020 will mark the history of Cabano Marine by positioning us among the largest boat dealers in Canada.
