What is a pleasure craft?
The term “pleasure craft” or “pleasure boat” refers to any boat destined for non-commercial use. On the other hand, fiberglass is generally very popular on pleasure crafts for the stability and easy handling it offers. Fiberglass will cost more to maintain, but it will resist to corrosion better, which makes it a more durable choice.

Boating License
In Canada, a boating license is mandatory to operate any pleasure craft for which one or several motors total 10 horsepower (7.5 kW) or more. You must also register your boat with Transport Canada.
Boat registration is mandatory in some cases, especially when using your craft commercially or outside of Canada.
